FONDACA – Active Citizenship Foundation – is a European think tank established in 2001.

The Foundation deals with subjects linked to the phenomenon of citizenship and its changes, via a programme of research and scientific production, consultancy and advanced training, cultural dialogue and policy activities.

In particular, the Foundation’s commitment focuses on the following points:

• The public role of non-governmental actors
• Citizens’ organizations as stakeholders in companies and public administration
• The building process of European citizenship
• New forms, expressions, and practices of citizenship in contemporary societies
